Being a conscious parent is not about arriving at a destination…after which you have earned the title “conscious parent.” It’s not a designation to put on your resume, or a symbol of having achieved a certain level of mastery of its principles. It’s about the commitment to the journey – and it can start on day one. You can choose TODAY to be a conscious parent. It means you are committed to the never-ending journey that emphasizes growth, truth, authenticity, and presence. We can all practice these skills and achieve various levels of mastery, however the genuine intention towards the journey is the most important piece that matters. Conscious Parenting is not a checklist of external attributes….it’s about the process. It is not about being a “human being,” but about being a “human becoming.” It is about being authentic, vulnerable, and honest. While there is a full spectrum of what that looks like from the outside, the most important aspect of being a conscious parent is the intention.

Facebook timeline glitch and workaround

OK so I’ve been struggling with this since the new Timeline came out, and I just confirmed it yet again. Here’s the sitch….

I have been having a horrible time FINDING people/pages that I KNOW are on FB…..and I even have the exact spelling of their username, and still can’t find them to connect. Even personal friends of mine! Which in turn, means that people cannot find me, or my business, either. This is new since the new timeline and it frustrates the BLEEP out of me.

I have my personal FB profile, and a separate business one.

I saw a post a personal friend of mine put up from Fox 5 San Diego, and wanted to comment on it AS MY BUSINESS PAGE, not as my personal self.

So I switch over to my business page, and search for Fox 5 San Diego (and many Fox 5 San Diego profiles come up). But not the main one, with 36K followers. So I go back to my personal profile and search again. Nothing. Can’t find the specific page that my friend shared. Nowhere to be found.

So I go back to my friend’s original post from my personal profile, and click on the hyperlinked Fox 5 san diego, and I get on their main FB page (the one with 36K followers).

OK so they DO exist!!

So I tried this……I copied the URL of their FB page that I wanted, switched over to my business page identity, and then pasted that URL into my browser and VOILA!!!! The CORRECT page comes right up, and I was now able to “like” it and then post.

Anyway, I wanted to share this workaround I found for anyone who has struggled with the same thing.

Does anyone know if this is a bug or how it’s supposed to work??  It should NOT be this hard to find someone you are purposely searching for – when there are no typos!!
